Meeting - Sunday, Aug 12, 2012

A large selection of plants donated by members were available at the annual covered dish luncheon and plant auction.

Over forty blooming or in-bud plants purchased from H&R Orchids, Hawaii, were also offered for bidding.

One of the plants sold was this beautiful Stanhopea, which was donated by a CCOS member.

Another donated plant, a fall-blooming Dendrobium. Over 120 plants were sold, with attendees taking home an average of four plants each.

Field trip - Johns Island Orchids, May 27

About 25 CCOS members and guests attended the open house, despite windy weather from tropical storm Beryl off the coast.

Browsing for orchids to purchase; no one went away empty handed.

So many orchids to choose from, including many genera and from seedling to blooming-sized plants.
